HOW WE CAN HELP

Our Wellness Services

In 2015 new laws came into effect requiring all dogs and cats to be microchipped.

Microchipping is a permanent way to identify your dog. Unlike a collar and tag, a microchip can’t fall off so if your dog or cat gets lost without its collar, you are far more likely to be reunited.

Microchips are implanted during a normal veterinary consultation. The chip itself is very small, about the size of a grain of rice, and is implanted just under the skin between the shoulder blades at the back of your pet’s neck.

Unwanted pet behaviour can be a stressful problem for many pet owners. A behaviour consultation with your vet is the first step to implement a training plan with our professional recommendations to get the problem solved.

Our vets will firstly complete a full health examination to rule out any underlying medical issues before getting to know more about your pet, your lifestyle and its behaviour at home.

Congratulations on your new fur baby! We offer a range of services including routine and wellness exams, microchipping, vaccinations, desexing, nutritional advice and more to ensure your puppy or kitten enjoys a happy, healthy life.

We recommend scheduling your puppy or kitten for a visit within the first week of coming home so we can do a check-up and create a wellness plan.

It is important to get regular check-ups for senior pets so that any issues can be detected early. During a check-up we can check their eyes, ears, teeth, joints, any lumps or bumps, their weight and run a blood test if there are any concerns. We can also provide advice on keeping your senior pet healthy and in shape.

We can assist with the entire pregnancy journey, from fertility and breeding health examinations, a breeding management plan, confirming pregnancy with an ultrasound, to whelping advice and delivering puppies.

Every pet’s dietary requirements are different and with so many brands and options available we understand it can be very confusing to decide on the best food for your pet.

Eaton Pet Vet stocks Royal Canin pet food that is high-quality and specifically designed to help our pets live happier, healthier, longer lives.

These foods have been developed for specific ages from puppy or kitten to adult and senior, tailoring specific needs to specific life stages.

Royal Canin also offers a prescription pet food range that helps control and maintain some diseases and medical conditions.

If you want to know more about feeding your pet a balanced diet, please ask one of our friendly reception nurses for assistance.
