HOW WE CAN HELP

Our Primary Care Services

If you are experiencing a pet emergency, please phone us immediately on 9725 2008 during business hours or 0411 538 332 after hours.

A quick response is important in any emergency and Eaton Pet Vet’s experienced team is readily available regardless of the time of day.

Radiographs (x-rays) are not just for looking at broken bones, we use x-rays to examine the size, shape, positioning and changes to organs in the body.

It is a useful tool for diagnosing animal health problems and to ensure top quality images Eaton Pet Vet offers state-of-the-art digital X-ray technology.

It is important that our patients stay very still while having an x-ray taken so most patients will be admitted for a sedation or general anaesthetic if radiographs are required.

Ultrasound is a safe and non-invasive way for veterinarians to have a look at what’s going on inside a pet’s body. They are particularly useful for getting a better look at internal organs and investigating what might be causing symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea, weight loss or a change in eating habits, or chronic infections, as well as checking on cancer staging or a pet’s pregnancy.

Our lab is equipped for a variety of diagnostic tests your pet needs to stay healthy and to help them get well sooner when they are sick or injured. We’re able to run tests in-house in situations where a rapid diagnosis is needed.

We can conduct blood tests, urinalysis (analysis of urine), fecal testing, parasite tests, cytology and evaluate lumps and bumps in-house.  We are also equipped to diagnose ear and skin infections whether parasitic, fungal or bacterial.

As pets are prone to hide illness and pain, regular testing can provide peace of mind that your pet is healthy and free from any underlying issues.

Our clinic offers a range of veterinary services for Breeders. We can assist with all stages of the breeding process, from the examinations, testing, and pregnancy monitoring, to whelping and delivery services to puppy care.

The decision to euthanise your pet will be the most difficult decision you will ever have to make as a pet owner.

When it comes to that difficult time, we provide a caring and compassionate home service that allows your best friends last moments to be free of unnecessary stress and discomfort.

We are available 24/7 to help you through this process and all measures are taken to ensure the experience as easy as possible for you.

Cremation services are offered through both Southwest Pet Cremations (a local company based in Bunbury) and Lawnswood Pet Cremation in Perth.

When considering cremation, you will be given a choice of either individual or group cremation.

Individual cremation is a service where you are guaranteed that only your pets ashes are returned to you, with many vessel, urn and engraving choices available.

Every individual cremation is labelled, recorded and certified with the option of having a special toy or blanket included.

Group cremation is offered to clients that do not wish to have their pets’ ashes returned. With this service your pets’ ashes will be scattered at a beautiful location on site.

It can be a very upsetting process, so bookings are organised directly through the staff at Eaton Pet Vet.

For more information, prices or to discuss the options available please call our reception staff on 9725 2008.
